Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad

Qari Abdul Samad was from Egypt. He was one of the first reciters to make commercial recordings of his Quranic recitations. He memorized the entire Quran by age 10.  At age 12, he learned seven styles of Quranic recitation followed by ten styles by age 14. In a short time span, his rise to fame in Egypt spread across the Muslim world due to his melodious style, remarkable breath control and unique tone. Sheikh Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy

Sheikh Mishary bin Rashid Al-Afasy is from Kuwait. He is the imam of Masjid Al-Kabir (Grand Mosque) in Kuwait City and leads the taraweeh prayers in Ramadan every year. He studied in the College of the Holy Quran and Islamic Studies at the Islamic University of Madinah and holds specialization in the ten readings and translations of the Holy Quran. Sheikh Abdur Rahmaan As-Sudais

Sheikh Al-Sudais is from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is one of the Imams of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia as well as the President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques. He memorized the Quran by the age of 12. He obtained a degree in Shariah from Riyadh University in 1983; his Master’s in Islamic Fundamentals from the Shariah College of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in 1987. Sheikh Sa’ud Ash-Shuraim

Like Sheikh Al-Sudais, Sheikh al-Shuraim also hails from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is also one of the Imams of the Grand Masjid (Masjid al-Haram) in Makkah. He attended Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, graduating in 1988. The following year, in 1989, he joined the “Ma’had Al-‘aali Lilqadhah” institute and received a Master’s degree in 1992. In 1995, he pursued the Ph.D. degree in the Umm al-Qura University of Mecca. He is a world-renowned reciter of the Quran and a researcher in Fiqh as well. Moreover, he acts in the capacity of judge and has authored many books on Aqeedah, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), and Arabic poetry. Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly is from Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He is also one of the Imams of the Grand Masjid (Masjid al-Haram) in Makkah. His original field of study was Mathematics, which he later began to teach as well.
