Ses œuvres ont pour fonction de faire connaitre un Liban «:moderne et vivant» à travers ses coutumes, ses hommes, ses femmes et aussi à travers sa langue. Bien qu'ayant adopté le français pour écrire, Farjallah Haïk «ne renie pas sa langue maternelle, l'arabe dialectal, (il) opère un greffage de la seconde sur la première».en_USdc.description.abstractThe novels of Farjallah Haïk make up a documentary corpus, offering to the reader a broad panorama of Lebanese society. His works fuction to convey a "modem and living" Lebanon through the depiction of its customs, people, and language.
